#103: Michelle Hensley

Michelle Hensley, founder and artistic director of Ten Thousand Things, talks in depth about the origin of the company, serving communities and providing a nurturing environment for actors.

As Michelle says toward the end of the podcast, an excellent script and actors are the bare essentials needed to put together a good production. Without saying, there are more moving parts, but when you’re in charge of an extremely mobile company like Ten Thousand Things, knowing what you need when it’s needed can go a long way.

Ten Thousand Things’ current show, Stones in His Pockets, starring Jim Lichtscheidl and Steven Epp, is running January 15 – 31 at Open Book in Minneapolis.
