On today’s show we discuss Proof, produced back-to-back by The Phoenix Theater Project and Workhouse Theatre.

00:00-05:19: Panelists Matt Rein and Christopher Tibbets, of The Phoenix Theater Project and Workhouse Theatre, respectively, speak to their reasons for choosing Proof.

05:19-08:21: We mention each of the characters, their motivations, and how math is presented.

08:21-09:20: Briefly we mention a surprise commonality shared between the productions.

09:20-11:55: The problem of producing the same show back-to-back by two companies.

11:55-17:20: Matt talks about his experience introducing a behavioral health specialist to the company for the production, which leads into a larger discussion about how people read into Robert’s mental illness.

17:20-21:02: We finish off with what’s in the future for both companies.

Proof runs Sept. 10th to 25th at the People’s Center Theater and then again from Oct. 8th to 24th at the Warren.
