When I last spoke with Steve Schroer, Steampunk Dreams was on the horizon. In the interim, that project changed, and became Steampunk Delusions, a theatrical event with two shows for the price of one: The Diamond Lens and To Mars with Tesla.
The Diamond Lens is Hardcover Theatre’s adaptation of Fitz-James O’Brien’s short story of the same name. This is a story of obsession–one man’s preoccupation with the microscopic gradually becomes his entire world.
The Diamond Lens and its sister show in Steampunk Delusions, English Scrimshaw Theatrical Novelties’ To Mars with Tesla, run from April 27 through May 12 at Open Eye Figure Theatre.
