But Not For Love

Matthew A. Everett and Richard Jackson return to talk Workhouse Theatre Co.‘s production of Matt’s show, But Not For Love.

Left to Right: Paul Rutledge, Jen Rand, Erica Fields, Jeremiah Stich, Foster Johns

As the election approaches, talk of the Marriage Amendment is everywhere (VOTE NO!). I’ve been particularly heartened with how the theatre community has responded, namely by producing work that creates conversation. Freshwater Theatre just completed their run of Better (or) Worse, Thirst: The No Round just started up, and BOOM!‘s Engaged will started the weekend after But Not For Love. To me, the community is busy creating stories about what marriage can be, and when that happens, viewpoints are broadened.

But Not For Love runs from October 12 – 28 at The Warren-An Artist Habitat.
